The UK Government has announced (24 July 2018) that organisations which secure funding through EU programmes (including European Territorial Co-operation) before the end of 2020 will have their funding guaranteed.


The announcement means that applicants to the Ireland Wales Programme can continue to apply for funding up to the end of 2020, whatever the outcome of negotiations between the UK and the EU. All applications approved and contracted before the end of 2020 will have their funding guaranteed in full for the lifetime of their projects.
